I was in The Chief and for a long time we ran in a group with The Chief, Blue Moon and Brian's flatdeck 36 Cig. It was fun to watch the 36 Cig and the 36 Apache out there and then have the helipcopter come over.
The first shot is them at idle. The second is us up on plane during the event. I didn't get a shot of the two 36s running because I was hanging on with a death grip standing behind the bolsters. Offshore Racing wasn´t designed to be a spectator sport, it's for people or companies with's lots of money to push the envelope of endurance technology and hopefully put a trophy on a mantle. It's man vs the elements, not like boats with like engines running in circles.
