I will say this…he debuted the boat this past weekend at my annual island party and it went over really well with the crowd. He is pretty sure he sold two people on them already. People were really amazed at how room that thing has.
And no Tom, I was running circles around the pontoon this weekend!! But I did get to take a look at Pete's engine this weekend....in pieces

Got my first ride on it tonight. Actually I drove for 1/2 the time. More responsive and better going across wakes than I thought. Only hit 34 MPH on the top end, but people were sitting in the front. I think its a high 30's boat...maybe 40.

Just checked the Mercury website and it says max RPM is 5000-5750, which seems like a pretty big range to me. I am also not sure if I was looking at the right engine. I was looking at the 200 Optimax 3.0L, which I believe is the engine on this thing.
