    Sorry guys, but the show is an American version to be aired by the History Channel.
    My good friend, Paul Clarin, the publisher of the KW newspaper headed to the east end of the bridge on his Buell very early this morning to watch.
    I think his FB page posting says it all;

    "Well, it was TopGear just not Top TopGear. Not the BBC version It was an American version they are working on that will air on the History Channel. TopGear's American Cousin, Second Team TopGear, Second Gear.. At least maybe Ice Road Truckers, Pickers and PawnStars will get cancelled."

    Also, Josh Stickles w/Donzi posted that Donzi supplied a 38ZR Comp for the show.
    Below is a picture Paul posted this morning, so it still might be worth watching.

    I don't know that we need to get back at them, other than there's never been more than two or three American cars they've liked.
    I've often been tempted to tell them they can keep their tiny little cars on their tiny little roads in thier tiny cold, wet, miserable little island.

    But it is a good show, even if they never miss an opportunity to dis us.

    All the way to Key west the boat may win 35mph on land in some spots but the short old bridge the car will win!

    I was crossing the bridge a few years ago on my Harley and two cars up a semi threw a tire cap. Talk about pucker factor.

    If you've seen these "races" on Top Gear before, you know they'll do whatever it takes to make it close.

    There's no way it will be just a straight line run at top speed for the car...it will somehow have to deal with traffic, towns, etc.

    Other than the stig putting up numbers on the track, the show is purely entertainment. That being said, I DVR every episode!!

    Brit Top Gear is great entertainment. The hosts have excellent chemistry that impossible to bottle and replicate. From Super Cars Exposed, can't see myself chilling in a bar over beer talking cars with Tanner Foust. The Brits seem more like hanging with the boys.

    Actually, I was thinking the same thing. I know my Porsche likes a smooth road at 150. I might give the edge to a boat if it were the right one.
