All for it. I would give the scanners a good chuckle. "Is that a Ken doll that just went through?!"

As fas as I go.. they can scan what ever the hack they want.
The problem is we got security personnel in Miami that can't speak / read English..
I was "detained" in Chicago and my mostly empty tooth pase was confiscated, yet my Husky.. sort of Swiss Army knife was left untouched in my bag. (I travel a lot, with car and air, and I forgot to remove it from my bag. No one recognized it.
I'm for security that makes sence and works. What we got is a JOKE.
I know employees of Air lines with out Citizenship, by passing security.
I had tools and misc. "articles" that could be used as a "weapon" countless times, and I get my Christmas cookies taken last year becouse they were too big.
The system SUXS.Life is: what happens... when you plan something else.

I sit with mixed feelings on this one....For the last two years EVERTIME I have flown somewere Matt walks right on thru, not a worry in the world. While I on the otherhand have been subjected to "Pat Downs". They are of course always performed by another women. I came to the conclusion that I, am the token patsy. The one that they look for, to eliminate accusations of racial profiling. Well, that is at least what I have been telling myself. But it never fails I always get pulled aside and patted down. Go figure.
So, I am not really sure what is worse the "bull dyke pat down" or the "perv-wray".

12-30-2009 07:59 PMDon't really want some public school educated idiot perv doing a body scan on my daughter or wife when I don't think it will really make a difference anyway. Anyone who has the resolve to blow themselves up for their "cause" can find a way to get it on a plane with these geniuses working security. Qualified, educated, professional law enforcement is what is needed, not these rejects working the gates. If you really want to get rid of the problem, allow any law enforcement or concealed weapons permit carriers to travel armed. It'll ruin a hi-jackers day when he starts schit and an 'ol boy from Miss. or LA. pulls out a .357.

The way the system is set up the person reading the image can not see who is in the scanner, in fact they need not even be in the airport. They just send a signal if they see something requiring further inspection.
I'm afraid that the terrorist techniques have moved on past the point where physical interference is going to make a difference, it would be nice to blow a few limbs off them thoughMark

When I was working the international oil fields in the early 80's they set up a drug sniffing machine right in the center of the customs hall at Houston airport. They would pull people out of line including me twice and have them stand in this machine for a couple of minutes in front of hundreds of people. Now that's what I call an invasion of privacy and embarrassing too.
I never saw it make a positive detection and they disappeared after a year or soMark
