05-05-2009 12:26 PMYou might beable to do most of the fab work with styrene. For the 3 man bolster, I would start with a block of balsa, drill three holes on a center line and then cut the block in half on the center line. That would give you the basic shape of the bolsters and then you can round your edges and scribe any detail you want.

When the kits arrive we should have a "Build Thread" to see everyone's handy work.

06-15-2009 09:23 AMRandy, I sent an email about 3 weeks ago to everone that ordered. The demand on orders to the vender were so high, they did an alocation of one kit per dealer for the first shipment. They expect the next order in about a week and my rep figured they should be able to fill rest of the backorders from that shipment. The first kit I received went to Phragle, as he was the first on the list.

Cool Wayne.
I'm looking forward to getting mine, I'm still sitting here bored out of my mind..."Keep the bottle on the bar Ira, I won't be long".

Wayne..I am planning out..almost blue printing my build before I start cutting..any idea of a car model the same scale that has blower motors, the motors in the kit are molded into the engine tub, I plan on doing stringers and a stagger..

07-11-2009 04:37 PMWas wonder'n if ya started yet. Sounds like a cool build. That's a tough scale. Most military vehicles are 1/35, but ya usually won't find a blower on a 1/2 track.
There are some car snap kits that are 1/32, but none that I know of with blowers. Try checking 1/32 scale models on ebay to see if anyone is do'n any resin parts. Also look at 1/32 slot cars. Some of the old slot cars from the 60s and 70s had blowers sticking out of the hood. There's always guys sell'n parts cars for slots on ebay.
Let me know how ya do.
