I consider lake erie the north coast. I think most refer to all the great lakes as the north coast.

Actually you're all wrong...
America's "North Coast" is the Northeast Ohio or Greater Cleveland regions of Ohio, on the south shore of Lake Erie, also known as the Niagara Frontier (particularly east of Cleveland)
So Detroit people.... GET OUT!!!! lol
