As dorky as it is, Id drive it! Id put big power and a surface drive on it!

I actually think its kinda cool. I grew up in an IMP Aztec (anyone remember those?) and it was a hardtop with push open front windows.. Many a catfish, tube and waterski met their demise behind that boat..

Seriously how cool would this thing be to take to Eddie Marine and have it decked out with all the gauges, controls, high back seats, etc.. Then sneak it into a poker run..

If they're cool enough for Bond, James Bond, they're cool enough for you?

They have a modified V of about 18 degrees from what I recall. Friend had one with a jet when I had my jet Ranger Excalibur way back in Oregon. They're okay, but not a rough water boat in the slightest.

I was wrong, it was in the 1979 movie Moonraker where the 23 was used.

The Scimitars are pretty rare boats. Probably the rarest Glastrons from that era. I think his price is in line. The boat looks good, and yes that is a cool old boat! IMHO

    Cale,
These are great boats! We've had a scimitar in the past - it's a really cool boat w/ power seats and T-Tops. We sold it and kept a CV23, which has the same hull but open top that is much cooler on summer days. I have the CV23 for sale on Grand Lake. My family sold Carlsons forever and I have a few of them still. Our CV23 has new upholstery and a rebuilt drive and is the nicest I've seen. You could easily drop a surface drive in it. With the original 260 I/O it runs mid 50's, but has a great hull for speed. Call me if you are interested. The 419 has taken it's place and it needs a new home. It's sitting on a lift on Monkey Island. Can show it to you this weekend if you'd like!

My in-laws have one. It was at the Lake Cumberland race. For some reason they think Glastrons are cool and have been collecting the cvx line.

Power driver seat, t-tops, overhead console, about 6 cigarette lighters and ash trays

It needs a 3'' chop and a set of tailfins to be really cool.
