A crash involving two boats on the Intracoastal Waterway left one person with minor injuries Saturday night, a fire-rescue official said.

Just before 9 p.m., Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue used one of the department's vessels to respond to the site of what appeared to be a minor crash near the 3100 block of Northeast 42nd Street, according to Deputy Fire Chief Timothy Heiser.

The department helped retrieve and dock the boats, Heiser said.

The injured person was treated at the scene and didn't need to be taken to a hospital.
