Skater trip to Cayo Costa, FL

Earlier today, I put lowered the Skater into the water, went out the Myakka River, down Charlotte Harbor, through Boca Grande pass, into the Gulf, and a few more miles South, and anchored up in 3 feet of water off Cayo Costa island.

The harbor was blowing pretty good, but since the wind was from out of the East, the Gulf was flat.

It was a 63.2 mile trip, and I burned 27.5 gallons of 93 octane, that's 2.3mpg.

now that's good livin' ...nice!

I spend most of my life in NJ, living in Point Pleasant/Brick/Forked River, and boating Manasquan River, Barnegat Bay, and the Oecan .

I grew up watching the offshore races, then helping out, then racing.

Move down to SW FL 2002, and we love it. This area is boating paradise.
