One thing about Michigan offshore performance boaters, there are more than just a couple who have incredible taste when it comes to their toys. One of those happens to be a friend within just a few miles.

Ron just recently took delivery of his 477 Nor-Tech with 1350/1550 Mercury power. Having the privilege to look the boat over, and watch it perform in it's inaugural event, certainly was fun. The West Michigan Offshore Muskegon Powerboat Weekend street show and poker run was a great place to start the boats history.

The paint by Visual Imagination had great detail and design. They should be very proud of the work performed. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the carbon fiber look in the paint. So many of the brushed carbon fiber paint jobs look very fake. This was the best I've seen so far.

Ron is one of the few who has actually put their 1350/1550 in 1550 mode. I was actually surprised when he told me that. The warranty is extremely short for 1550, but he had to try it he said.

He ran it up to a reasonable 130 MPH he said, not trying to see what it could actually have as a wrung-out top end.

The boat looks really good on the water. An impressive piece all around. Glad it's here in West Michigan where we can see it run. The next event he is planning to run it at, Boyne Thunder. Watch for it there in a few weeks.

Congrats Ron, a really sweet piece!!!
