Inspired by a quote from Skater Powerboats national sales manager Tony Cutsuries in a speedonthewater.com article, longtime Skater catamaran man Sam Jirik had T-shirts carrying the expressie made for his Skater-loving friends at the Tickfaw 200 Poker Run in April. Cutsuries’ quote, “Dude, It’s a Skater” in reference to the near indestructibility of Skater cats was emblazoned on the front of the shirt in combination with the Skater water-bug logo. The shirt became the fashion accessory for the year among the Skater faithful, and soon Jason Johnson and I had them for sale in the online Speed On The Water Store.

Flash forward this weekend’s “Weekend At Ronnie’s” event at the Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri. And for many of the 30 Skater cat owners who showed up for Ron Szolack’s invitational event, the shirts were once again the hottest fashion statement.
First, we need to thank Mr. Jirik, a longtime supported speedonthewater.com for knowing a killer quote when he saw one and coming making T-shirts bearing it for his pals. We also need to thank Cutsuries for his glib—if devoid of anything resembling solid information—comment in the story. We’re delighted to offer them in our store.
We were even more stoked to a slew of them on Skater men at Weekend On Ronnie’s.
Better still for devotees of other go-fast powerboat brands. There’s more along the same brand-proud, smart-ass comment line coming soon to the store.
But we’re still far from sold out on the “Dude, It’s a Skater” shirts. If you’re into the brand, you might just want to order them before we do.
