Love that bi-plane. Where did you shoot that from? Looks like you're in a plane alongside.....

They broke the sound barrier at the air show? And what's going on with the boat...can't tell if it's sinking or just behind a crest?

Bi-plane was flying low, shot it from Joe's Crab shack top deck Daytona Pier. that is right before the barrier if conditions are right, the cone forms for a split second! second cone this year for me!! as for the cutter, it was the center of the show for the pilots to get there bearings on, anchored all day, reminded me of Orange Beach last year for the OPA World Championship.

Were they too far away ? I remember seeing the Blue Angels in 1989 or so and they were right on top of us..including the tail walk blowing up a sh*tload of dust. Same as the Thunderbirds in 85 at Homestead AFB. I saw the Angels at Boca Chica NAS in 2009 ...and it seemed too far away from the crowd (could have been the layout of Boca Chica)

no , it was just a short show, and not a lot of tight formation flying and the solo were not that impressive.

P.S.

anything happening over at boca chica??? I would like to get some pics over by there.

Last week we had some F-16's and some Mirage's in...they were using the alternate runway which flies right over my shop/yard...keeps you on your toes....Love the Fokker !!

BOCA CHICA KEY

Military traffic increases

Air traffic is expected to be heavy through mid-November as fighter jets and other aircraft from at least seven squadrons will visit Naval Air Station Key West, said spokeswoman Trice Denny.

F/A-18 Hornets and Super Hornets from four different Strike Fighter Squadrons are expected, and Carrier Air 8, based at Oceana, Va., also is in town. Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron 124 with E-2C Hawkeyes and jets from Fighter Composite Squadron 12 also are here, Denny said.

Boca Chica Field generally draws more activity in winter as weather up North often is not ideal
