This is an announcement that kind of surprised me.

Belzona Marine, is the manufacturer of highly revolutionary concepts in boat design that will define the way people enjoy the ocean waters. The Belzona boats will transport you from an adventure to an exploration or just to simple relaxation, all possible in one boat trip. The mission of Belzona Marine is to build high quality, extraordinary performance multipurpose day boats that will stand out in the mass market.

Belzona has made composites and other items used in the boating industry, by boat manufacturers, for years. Now they are going to compete with their own customers????

Interesting....

BELZONA MARINE

Hi guys,

Although Belzona do supply in to the boat market, it is a fraction of their sales and is not a target market. The reason Belzona chose to enter the marketplace for boat design and build was because they have a unique offering. This will not impact their current customer base.

Welcome to the site , and i for one ...would love to hear just what it is ............in the marketplace or build you have to offer in the future .......................... so without further a-dew ~ please proceed .

Hi Ginger, sorry my original post should have included the word "apparently". I'm no expert on boats so would probably get torn apart if I were to try and explain the uniqueness of these boats.

Apparently the hull design has something to do with it but also the owner of the business has bought the rights for a propulsion system that has never previously been used. This is probably where the uniqueness will come in.

The main reason for my original post was more about damaging existing customers business. This would never be the case as would not be in the future plans of the business. Belzona's growth will be within the Oil and gas industry.

Where Belzona Marine ends up nobody knows.

Welcome. Nice to hear what's going on....

Any idea when the first ones will be available for review?

secret new propulsion system never used in boats before?? well we have used oars, wind, gas engines, diesle engines, nuclear engines, steam
engines. ropes ties to various things on shore, electric motors, turbine motors (doubles as weeny/mashmallow roasters), by the process of logical deduction and elimination proceedures this is what is left...

Well OK, it looks as though I believed the marketing BS about the propulsion system. Although per orders have been made by the military for a model not to be released to the public.

The following link should give you some info about one of the releases.

2013 Belzona Marine 325 Center Console for Sale - iboats.com 1260881

I've done some digging and as far as I understand the first model available to the public will be towards the end of this year.

It would be very interesting to hear your views on the price tag.

Interesting. Initial thoughts were that was expensive, but I've not bought a boat before.

The owner of the Company is very passionate about boating and will want to make a success of this business. They have invested millions in this project so they are in it for the long haul.

When I read the price and features, it that without any motors? It says the option is the 300's, what's standard?

I gotta tel yah we built boats for the Navy Seals at Skater many years ago and they expect a whole lot or should i say Belzona Marine will be jumping thru hoops .

That is a very interesting door and ladder concept.

Have sea trials been done on a prototype? I see it has a pad, but no steps.

Apparently sea trials have occurred recently and were successful. There are mp4's available so will try and post a YouTube soon.
