Yah, I saw it on the back of Bill's Spectre a couple weeks ago in Long Beach harbor. Looks badass, supposedly runs awesome. Bill says they're bullet proof. I know he's sold some.

Yup, Bill Auberlin owns X Power. He has a 32 Spectre with PSI blown, Motec controlled 690+ cube motors built by Paul Pfaff and Precision Marine in Huntington Beach. 1,600 - 1,800 HP is my recollection. The boat is a f*cking spaceship. And that's an understatement.
I don't know any of his customers off the top of my head, but I do know someone who does the machine work on certain parts and he does top quality work. The majority of the materials (as I recall) are made in europe by contacts Bill's made of there years as a factory BMW endurance racing driver (LeMans, etc.).
My recollection is the price on the drives is something like $35k each and they're claiming zero failures (however that's defined). Give him a call. He's a good dude and very accessable.
