Gary South Shore Air Show this weekend 7/11-7/12

My friend that lives by the Dunes mentioned that there was an Air show around there this coming weekend 7/11-7/12, is it worth going to see ? It runs from 12noon until 4pm both days at Marquette Park Beach.

It's ok nothing that spectacular, last time I was there the blue angles were there. I normally just watch what I can see from boaters beach.

It was rougher than a beotch there last year too Jamie. Waves were bad but the crowd did not help matters. We saw a few boats end up on the beach as the wind was blowing in hard. It took us forever to get our anchor unhooked last year. It was fun and a pretty cool display, they fly what feels like 100 feet over your head!!!!! Hammer

Cool thing about that show is that it is usually not as crowded as Chitowns. Candyman and I were out there for the practice sessions last year on Friday...there were MAYBE three other boats out there! I swear the pilots were buzzing us...

Ok Mark / Bob / Tony and anyone else, looks like we are going to leave Diversey Harbor by 11am tomorrow (Sunday), so we will be over around 1130. Not sure exactly where we will be or are going to go as we want to be anchored on a beach and not out just floating.

Were you idling around Marina Shores Saturday about 3:00 or so? I saw a 27' Formula that looked like yours but I wasn't sure.
