I was in a hurry and just grabbed what I thought was right. I got home and I have AMS oil 15w40 fore Diesel and Marine. I think they mean Marine Diesel. Will this work on a 454 Mag MPI? or should I get something different?

07-02-2009 06:47 PMIt will be fine. Even if it was a "diesel" oil. I know several guys that run rotella which is marketed for diesels.

07-08-2009 07:32 PMI run diesel oil (rotella) in my supercharged 454s with no problems. I feel it is a better oil for marine applications if you do not have excessively high oil temp issues.
