    Looking at a boat with 625hp Ilmor engines, anyone run these and have any luck? also what kind of maintance and how many hours before rebuilds

    Ilmor = Awesome

    Ilmors a Roger Penske owner engineering company with an incredible track record that cannot be refuted by anyone.

    The v 10s are turbine smooth and hit like a cr500 2 stroke on the pipe.

    They run cheap (2.4MPG in my rig) and are stone reliable.

    Guesses are 3-400 hours with oil and fluid changes only.

    This is the real deal.

    I believe the current ILMOR record is a 32 Skater with twin ILMORS & 800+ hours and ZERO FAILURES. Thats pretty impressive!

    Ive heard of crazy hour ilmors as well.

    I didnt want to go that far out on a limb- but they are well built engines.
