I'm really surprised Jim didn't start this thread.

The cool thing about Daytona is just about everyone has a chance to win. Not just the fastest or best funded team. There are so many variables, many of which no one has any control over. So you prepare the best you can, get up, say a prayer, and go racing.

I followed NASCAR for awhile in the early to mid 90's, but kind of lost interest.
I was always a Terry Labonte fan (starting last in the field this year), or I also liked the Burton brothers - just because I couldn't figure out how they grew up together, and Jeff could speak clearly, and you could barely understand what the hell Ward was trying to say."Keep the bottle on the bar Ira, I won't be long".

I like Jeff Burton too. He could win on Sunday. He has had some strong years lately. I would like to see him do well.

I have a 3 story townhouse on the beach 15 miles north of the track and we avoid going there that weekend (among others).
