Well,
since I am new here, and this thread popped back up, heres mine. 1981 24 sport, single 1994 225 merc outboard. Used to be Bad Company, and at one point was powered with twin 200's.

07-01-2009 04:19 PMPantera 28 we watched you guys leave Sandusky Bay last weekend. How was your ride to Lorain and then to the Casino? You have a good lucking boat.

The worlds greatest camera phone back in action...
Saw this last weekend at Pelican Island (drive up boat bar in Huntington Harbour)... Interesting boat. Owner said it was a 91 that he bought without a drive and a blown up big block. Single 150 Yammy now on sort of an odd looking movable bracket. He said it runs 42mph (go RICK!)... Oh yah, and the entire deck and cockpit had been sprayed with bedliner and painted.

I can PUSH mine to 59(maybe even break 60 if I run light on fuel etc, that was done with 3/4 fuel, 2 people and a full cooler) with a bone stock 225 fishin' merc with like 1000 hours on it, but the handling is terrible with that prop(I didnt really have much control). I CHOOSE to run my favorite 23 mirage, and run 55 at 5000 rpm with GREAT handling(grab a beer from the cooler in the back seat while running down the ICW at 55), may get the same prop in a 21 to bring the RPM's up a bit.

Better shot of the "Long Beach Pantera"...
I believe there were 3 24' Panteras on the loose in LB this weekend. Me, this dude and the 24 SE that ran the ski race. Didn't get a chance to chat with anyone, but still a kick to see some sister boats on the water.

07-14-2009 07:41 AMOH,
and my transom and splashwell have Bedliner covered in Epoxy paint, doesnt look too bad, but will get all redone this winter when I put a transom in it, and lose the bedliner.

New kid on this block... Bobcat suggested I put up a couple shots of our 28. We just got it last season, put 45 hours on it and met alot of great people. Still learning the hull's characteristics compared to our other boat, but it's very forgiving and predictable.
Hope to be running some new Events this coming Season and making new friends.

Thanks Craney, Morgan put a good package together when he ordered it, and he treated me right during the whole purchase process. We met up with some other Pantera's this past Summer in the Chesapeake area.
Here's a few shots from a few of the runs we did.

Great pics. Welcome to SO Doc. Love all those boats. Blue Balls has to be one of my alltime favorite pleasure 28s. Thanks for the pics!

Yep it's a really good looking Pantera - we ran with him for a bit during one of our spontaneous Chesapeake gatherings... we ended up with over 35 boats... it was a little crazy...but alot of great photos came outta that run.
Jdub told me about this site... now we got to get him a "Kryptonite Owners Section" on here?
I heard it took him weeks to find a boat to match his and his pals shorts...
I guess persistence pays off?
