Yep, that's been quite the BS. They put up all kinds of windmill power generating towers where it is proven to cause problems for the whales.

Scientists believe the noise and disturbanaces from first building, then operating those towers, is what has caused the Right Whale females to only give birth every 6 to 10 years, instead of the 3 years they used to average. And, the females are only living for about 45 years, instead of the 70 years they used to live. They believe there are only 70 reproductive females left.

The other two main issues are ship strikes, or very large private vessels, and the entaglement in fishing gear is the worst.

Just another example of the government making a stupid decision so they can hide the truth and make it so it appears as if they are doing something.

See, it's got nothing to do with whale deaths, only something to do with the long term plan of banning anything with a internal combustion engine in any way they can.

A large offshore wind project off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard has begun nearly two years after federal regulators approved “take” permits for the project’s developer allowing for thousands of incidental killings of marine mammals, including dozens of whales protected under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and up to 20 endangered North Atlantic right whales.
