June 6, 1944. A day to remember. On this day many families made the ultimate sacrifice and were forever changed.

It was an honor to be in the generation who had that generation for grandparents. To understand personally what kind of people used to be called "Americans."

And then the President, (in name only), doen't even recognize D-Day anniversary until after 8:00 at night. (He was probably napping on the beach).

It was already the next day in France where D-Day occurred!

What an f'n piece of **** this moron is. Can't even get it right with an entire crew of idiots to remind him......

    Cool photo.
USS Arizona (BB-39) in Dry Dock No. 1 at Pearl Harbor Navy Base, circa 1932.
Note: the "39" on turret no. 2.

    The D-Day numbers are staggering.

The Normandy Invasion consisted of 5,333 Allied ships and landing craft.
They embarked nearly 175,000 men. The British and Canadians put 75,215 troops ashore, and the Americans 57,500, for a total of 132,715.
There were also approximately 20,000 Allied airborne troopers.
Air assets included 3,958 heavy bombers, 1,234 medium and light bombers, and 4,709 fighters.

The U.S. VII Corps sustained 22,119 casualties from 6 June to 1 July, including 2,811 killed, 13,564 wounded, 5,665 missing, and seventy-nine captured.
