SVL is coming back. The biggest issues currently are the engines being the same and the rules enforced. The rules as are seem to be making the class come back, but I still believe the Data Logger required needs to be improved so tech can have more support. As we found out in the past, some people have been known to cheat.

The other thing I'd really like to see, the total weights for all spec classes increased but then include the driver and throttleman in the weight. There is no way when every thing else is checked to be equal that a couple of 250 lb guys can stay up with a couple of 150 lb people.

And last, the safety for the classes, especially stock outboard, needs to be enforced. These DW's are going to kill somebody. Danf near every time one has an accident something happens to the boat that endangers the life of the occupants. Even this last flip with Vinnie, the windshields both failed. Same in Cocoa with Nick this year. And of course the last Key West. Which, supposedly, LPC was completely rebuilt after the Key West flip and is now the best and safest DW out there. Yet, instant failure on both windshields. And Paint Factory the entire top hatch insert cracked out all the way around.

But, I digress. SVL has come back with a vengeance, between what I call the two SVL classes, if they can keep people from cheating like dang near destroyed the class the last time it was way up, it will continue to prosper, (I think).

Hopefully they can get the weights of the occupants added so fat guys like me can start racing again.

I love supercat 750 most of any in last 20 years .
    2nd is SVL.

Youre right there are over 20 that could easily be given one engine package .
just start with the heaviest phantom and add weight to the others.( its not that much )

cheating was ALLOWED from the very start .I screamed everytime to no avail.it was always about trading favors .

one day in K mart in mich city i overheard 5 different teams discussing the finish order ,
(it was i help you this year since youve run most races and you help me later win in my hometown .
that seem to happen with all classes.

biggest cheaters were the ones who were always pointing fingers.

like the merc 750,s those in charge of tech were the worst .

id like to see opa do it right ,we will see .

just the svls and ss boats could fill the roster.

old p-class boats just don.t cut it .

they keep tryin but its boring.

same old thing we always needed ,honesty and set rules

Maybe when you buy a Race boat and have skin in the game will the rules be changed in your favor, and if you look at the up and coming racer's that will possibly be around for the next 20 years, you dont fit that mold either. They have vintage events in Tavares, Florida maybe you are better suited for that, oh wait you dont have a boat for that either!

I really find that hard to believe. Everyone is there to win, too busy having fun and preparing to have a secret meeting in a K Mart.
