"GOP donor and Hewlett-Packard executive Meg Whitman is planning to endorse Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump"

I guess I'll be crossing Hewlett-Packard off my list to buy products from for the rest of my life. Just like I did Heinz when Kerry's wife pulled her crap. We've never bought a Heinz product since in our house.

I may have to vote for Johnson, even though he won't win.

So, will the FBI and the US Attorney's Office get the job done this time? Or are we looking at another whitewash?

Aetna (AET) is sharply cutting its participation in Obamacare exchanges for 2017.
The health insurer said it will offer individual Affordable Care Act (ACA) exchange plans in just four states, down from 15 this year, in an effort to reduce its losses.

"As a strong supporter of public exchanges as a means to meet the needs of the uninsured, we regret having to make this decision," Marc Bertolini, Aetna chairman and CEO, said in a statement.

The insurance giant says it will offer ACA exchange plans in Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska and Virginia, slashing its Obamacare footprint by 70 percent next year. It will offer ACA plans in just 242 counties, nationally, down from nearly 780 this year.

Aetna's announcement comes two weeks after the company booked $200 million in ACA-related pre-tax losses in its Q2 earnings report and nearly one month after the Department of Justice's anti-trust division sued to block the health insurer's acquisition of rival Humana (HUM).

Humana has also announced it will cut back sharply from the exchanges. Their pullback, in the wake of UnitedHealth (UNH)'s departure from all but a handful of exchanges, means that hundreds of thousands of Obamacare plan members will no longer have access to plans from the nation's three major insurers in 2017.

Their problem is largely due to specialty drug costs.

In 2014, Aetna had $60 Billion in revenue.

Between the failed insurers and the failed co-ops, there are very few options left for people who actually lost their insurance under Obamacare but don't qualify for the handout care from the government.

"Only a third of Obamacare co-ops are still in operation after two more co-ops announced they were closing their doors in the past week.

Oregon’s Health Co-Op is the second to fail in the state since Health Republic Insurance of Oregon closed its doors last year.

The two failed co-ops in Oregon and the failed co-op in Connecticut join 12 other co-ops that have failed in Arizona, Colorado, Kentucky, Michigan, Nevada, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Utah, as well as a co-op that served both Iowa and Nebraska.

This leaves only eight co-ops in existence out of the 23 initially created under Obamacare."

U.S. cash to Iran was dependent on Americans being freed

WASHINGTON — New details of the $400 million U.S. payment to Iran earlier this year depict a tightly scripted exchange specifically timed to the release of several American prisoners held in Iran, based on accounts from U.S. officials and others briefed on the operation.

U.S. officials wouldn’t let Iranians take control of the money until a Swiss Air Force plane carrying three freed Americans departed from Tehran on Jan. 17, the officials said. Once that happened, an Iranian cargo plane was allowed to bring the cash back from a Geneva airport that day, according to the accounts.

If 10,000 gun laws are good. 20,000 gun laws are excellent.

    Just ask Chicago.

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) on Friday referred to Hillary Clinton as "mentally impaired."

"You don't make fun of people who are impaired, have special needs," Gohmert said during his speech at the Values Voter Summit in Washington.

"And whether you like her or not, Hillary Clinton has made clear she is mentally impaired. This is not somebody you should be making fun of," Gohmert continued....
