2 businesses hit by drive-by shootings

Key West police detectives are investigating back-to-back shootings apparently involving B.B. guns that occurred early Saturday morning at two bars, said police spokeswoman Alyson Crean. The reported drive-by shootings occurred at Dons' Place bar, 1000 Truman Ave., and Shanna Key Irish Pub and Grill, 1900 Flagler Ave., about 12:30 a.m., Crean said.
There were no reported injuries.
It was not clear which occurred first or what circumstances led to the incidents.
There were no reported arrests as of Saturday afternoon.
Four windows were reportedly damaged at Shanna Key, a worker there said. Dons' Place owner, Don Manaher, could not be reached for comment.
Police Chief Donie Lee could not be reached for comment.
