    From what I recall, in 1979 and 1980 Excalibur built a total of around 18 Fountains for Reggie in their 31 mold. Then when Reggie got sued for not putting the designed by Jean Claude Simon on the boats they were building, the mold for the Excalibur 31 was actually the 31 Cary mold that Simon owned, Reggie added the beak and the 33 was created.

    So, an original 1979 Cary/Excalibur/Fountain still exists.
    Getting bad advice is unfortunate, taking bad advice is a Serious matter!!
