It keeps going north and mostly missing the west coast of Florida.

Hopefully it's gone for the teams towing their boats to St Pete for the race!

It's hard to find anything with all of the hype. The only thing I've seen about Clearwater is the guy from Fox on Coranado Drive standing in knee deep water.

Tampa Airport had a highest gust of 52.93mph at 3:53am.

They always hype this stuff though, can't seem to tell the truth. You hear them call Ian a Cat 5, but it was barely, maybe, a Cat 3 as far as I can tell. A Cat 5 is a minimum average mean sustained winds for an entire minute of 157mph, a Cat 4 is 130mph to 157mph, a Cat 3 is 111 to 129. Here is the link to Ian's highest measured wind speeds:

    https://baynews9.com/fl/tampa/weathe...%3A%2075%20mph

Highest measured gust was 140. Highest measured sustained was 108. That's not even a Cat 3. It's hype, but, a Cat 3 is a bad storm, the hype is not needed.

Heidi talked to Cynthia last night. Bradenton was ok at that time. No idea what is going on today. Web cam at Anna Maria didn’t look to bad.

Looks like Bobcat will need his waders on to smoke his stogie in the back yard.

    Thoughts on "The Turn."
Like life, the back nine is harder.
If the front nine was harder, fewer people would make it to the back.

I regularly shot under 50 on the front before I shot under 100.
(which I did again Tuesday.) 96 at a different course. The new grips are so nice. I'm hitting the **** out of my irons. My 5 iron has gained a reputation for being long and true. 210+ with enough loft to attack greens from way out. I'm teeing off with it on a lot of par 4s. Say.... 350yds. 210 plus roll out, 120-130 yard PW and a putt. Full swings. If I go long or get a lot of roll I just drop to a lob wedge on second shot. Much more reliable than attempting a 280 driver and then chipping. 9/10 of my 5 irons are in the middle of the fairway. 4/10 of my drives are in the middle of the fairway, 6/10 are fades and slices and that's with a custom fitted draw driver.

Today I am playing with my boss, a bank president and a guy from the bank who's name I don't even know. For all I know he will be chosen this morning or picked up from in front of Home Depot. I plan to call him "The Second."
If my boss plays in front of me like he normally does, I am going to hit at him. If at any point a debate breaks out between my boss and the bank president I will ask The Second if he understands our responsibilities, should they decide to duel.

Spend an hour on a trackman and you will see it all. You are left handed though? So your slice is my hook.
My swing plane is too much out to in with my driver, which is causing too much clockwise lateral spin rate. My smash factor is perfect at 1.5. Somehow I am getting 240-260 from a 86 mph swing.
My irons are 1.5 inches longer than standard. But I still have a nice tilt. I worked a LOT on my iron swing this year. Where my weight is, how my body sequences around, keeping left arm straight in my backswing. Not throwing a sack of potatoes over my back in my backswing, left knee naturally bent to allow rotation, fully rotating during swing resulting in belly button pointing at target and weight on left foot, right foot naturally pulling up and turning left to allow rotation. Body slightly leading arms. I practiced getting into my proper backswing position hundreds of times. (And took a damn lesson.)
    I am Iron Man.

Time to get my woods straight.

Nope, all good. The surge went down as the tide came up. Then, by 6 or so the tide had gone out and all was back to normal.

Except I'll probably have a bunch of dead lawn and bushes from the saltwater.

Looks to be a repeat today. I do not remember 30 days of wind. Very odd.
