New company named Defender Powerboats. Molds were purchased in Georgia and brought back to Florida.

So, what will it have for power? When do you expect the boat to hit the water?

Hello Jetcruzer, Thanks for the interest in the new Defender 21 Scout. Sorry, I can't answer your power option question because the hull and deck are still in the build phase and the U.S. Coast Guard still has to inspect the boat to determine the "max HP" for the boat. Safety and attention to detail will always be my first area of concern when building any Defender Powerboat. (Something thats been hammered into me by the U. S. Air Force)
To date, everything is on schedule and I hope to complete my first Scout sometime in February, before the Miami Boat Show.Last edited by Area188; 11-22-2012 at 07:16 AM.

Defender , not to be rude but maybe you should seriously think about moving your membership up a notch other then being just Registered , considering ...........................you are claiming to be a new Boat Co , named Defender Powerboats based out of Florida , which is just a suggestion , and something to truely think about !!!!!!!!! Just my 2 cents .

I know Bob Saccenti upgraded the original lamination schedule using today's newest composite materials and technology.
We do not know exactly how much the hull and deck will weigh until we pull the first boat. Bob did say the new Scout will be lighter and stronger than the original ones he built.....

11-23-2012 03:03 PMWell, if Bobby's assisting, the area188 makes a whole lot of good sense now.
I like that, kind of like the Area51 of performance boating!!!!!!Getting bad advice is unfortunate, taking bad advice is a Serious matter!!
