    Montecarlo Offshore 30 V-Drives
    #1
Hi, I am restoring an early 1980's Montecarlo Offshore 30 designed by Bob Hobbs and Cal Connell and built by RAM in Italy. I am missing one of the V-Drives (It is the pre BPM model). Would anyone know where I could locate a replacement ? Thanks, fjh@the-brokerage-division.com

I remember seeing a couple of those Monte Carlos @ Cal Connels shop here in Hialeah (miami) shop back around 1980, I thought he was crazy, little did I know......
Cal was the man that told me back then: "Pepe you better make up your mind wether you want to be a good boat builder or a good businessman" he was right again!
Do a google on Cal Connel and you will see who he was. What a wealth of knowledge!

    Yeah,

There's one up here in storage. It came from lake St. Clair and was owned by Cal Connel.
He was going to build a race boat out of it. unfortunately it has been gutted but is for sale.

How about some pics of yours?

Pics are easy on here. When you get a chance, one of us can walk you through the first one.

But basically click on Go Advanced (or double click reply to thread). Ckick on manage attachments, click on browse, click on the pic you want to post, click upload, click insert inline.

They don't have any manuals but the electrical stuff is pretty standard. Does it have Crusader engines?

Travis owns the one up here. You can call him if you would like.

He sure doesn't have many pictures in there. I wonder what it would cost to ship a boat like that over to the states? Although it may be worth more in Italy than here....
