I think Powerboats For Sale may have the wrong build specifications. There is no way that boat has Carbon, unless it was something added later. When I was talking with "Keep it on Plane, Wayne" in Key West, it was refurbished almost exactly to the original build.

    Price reduced March 2012

    BRING OFFERS

'Bounty Hunter' is a 39' Cigarette from 1978 (known as the 'bubble deck'), built from a full Kelvar and carbon fiber construction which is powered by twin 588 CI V8s 650hp.

Up-graded over the last few years this Cigarette Racing Bubble Deck looks stunning in the original livery colours, ‘an absolute gem and great joy to drive’. Comes complete with a 6 wheel road for easy boat movment

With only two of these boats ever being made this is a great opportunity to own the perfect race boat.

I spoke with Billy Martin about the bubbledeck a few years ago. I don't recall all the details but he didn't remember the boat all that favorably.

Last I saw it was Key West in '08, right after it sold but before it was shipped to France. I think the last sale was under $20,000. I'm sure they had to do some work to get it into shape. 100 might be high.
