    DJ,
It also shows a 98.829 record for Scorpion Performance, does this mean that Pirate holds the record for S VEE LTE SNGL which shows Miklos' old speed? I'm confused http://www.apba-racing.com/sites/all...%20Records.pdf

    TC

    Regardless, congrats to them

your guess is as good as mine, it is confusing as a couple classes appear to be similar in name.

The Scorpion boat was my boat back in the A class days so the 98 was with a much more powerful engine.

The Pirates team had a great weekend.

Not sure how long it will take. They have to go through the committee that handles the records to make sure all of the criteria have been met. We were chatting with the UIM official there and he wasn't positive of the time frame. There appears to be no reason any of them would not stand as recorded. They check everything out on the technical side.

Rat, You need to get with Simmons, I just happen to have a little motor sittin around that will push octane over 100 mph, unfortunately our run at lotos shootout is a fun run only, no record book, just bragging rights,
you guys could get in the books,

You just have to watch the shutdown.... Doing a 180 degree turn at 103 mph gets a little interesting..

I'll get a thread up on the experience. The boat handles great. Biggest probalem, other than neither one of us had ever done what we were doing in the boat, not enough wheel. 88.3 was the absolute best after running on the limiter the entire mile long straight. Ask the guys in the marina what they were hearing.....pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop--pop-pop-pa-pop-pa-pop-pop-pop-pa-pa-pa-.................................................

But the boat started, jumped into reverse by itself a couple times but Joey got it adjusted, then we ran both heats really well. Thought we had a chance of reeling in Typhoon in the second one. I'll post the sequence of the next to last corner, we closed a bunch during the heat........

Thanks!!!!! It was a ton of work but I'm happy with the way it came out. New pump was a piece of junk.... definitely not the drop in replacement I was expecting. Still trying to find something to get us back on the water.

Not to be a dick but whats so hard about finding a Merc 525 fuel pump? Am I confused or did I miss something? Merc rebuilds have to use OEM parts or equivalent in some cases (pistons). If you are playing with after market pumps them im betting you modified the fuel system needs which is not leagal as far as I read the rules. What the F is going on in the SVL class in SBI? 650HP,modified parts whats next blowers? How is it possable for a stock 525 SVL boat from OSS/OPA to race with you guys any more? Its apples to Oranges now.
