Heard on the way into work that tomorrow afternoon we could be in the 50s! Fifty degree temp difference in ONE DAY?!

But....it's probably my fault, as the boat will be done and running on the hose today...which means it'll be time to water test...hence the craptastic weather.

On Wednesday at 3:30 pm I was on my way out to go mountain biking and the temp was 100 degrees in my car. Yesterday, at the same time, I was driving home from Michigan and the temp was 51. Today is supposed to be 80...tomorrow...64. This is the most f'd up spring EVER.

You're telling me. We've been running our drainage pumps on our low ground for 2 months now. With the rain we got yesterday we will have them running for 2 more weeks at least. The diesel pumps burn 100 gal of fuel a day. The electric pumps run up a $3000 per month electric bill.

But at least the lake is back up to last years levels.

The wind we've had recently that would've been great!

This pic shows the difference in water height from one side of the levee to the other. We could plant on the low side. We've dropped about 18" so far but it has about 4' to go before we can shut pumps off.

Well, she's at it again. Fri night Sat morning we had almost 7" of rain in one area. We were up through the night pulling dams and starting drainage pumps. Then in the morning we started an irrigator just 6 miles away were we got not a drop of rain.
Right now we've got another storm with heavy rain and 60mph winds coming at us, about an hour away. maybe it will get the areas that are a little light on rain.
