I have 22' Stingray, Fresh built 468. Right now I have a 25 pitch Mirage, was wondering how this prop should act. Thanks for any help.

I was think along the same lines. I sure hope so. I took her out last sunday for a shakedown run and hurt some bearings in the outdrive. Had fluid. Guess it was time for it to rebuilt anyway. lol

10-24-2010 10:23 PMThe mirage will make the boat feel nice and loose, but it should be the fastest overall prop for the boat as the laser 2 won't be able to hold any kind of hole shot or turns, let alone carry the bow at any altitude.

M+ and Revolution 4 propellers have been the props of choice for the Stingrays we have worked on.
Speed guys like the Labbed M+'s and the over watersports etc. guys love Labbed Revolution 4's.

Ok I took it out for a top speed run last weekend and I got 69-70mph GPS. But the prop is slipping real bad when I trim it up. I was hardly able to trim it up at all with the 25p 3 blade. Im wanting to go to a 4 blade but dont know what pitch will give me my best performance for top end. Any suggestions??? Thanks

What rpm did you reach at 69.5? What rpm do you desire.
We can add more bow lift to the 25M+.

Was doing something inside my house and I mentioned to my wife that I heard a very interesting boat on the river. Went outside and saw a red boat but couldn't tell the make due to distance. I figured that the red boat might just be heading for the boat ramp at Warehouse Road so took a ride down there just in time to see a very nice Donzi with all the right sterngear being readied to leave on its trailer!
I've currently got an old (1980) Excalibur 24. I'm waiting for the engine to be returned from Express Engines in Florida. The last job they had to do was get the Stellings repaired which should be done by this weekend. Then ship it up to Chesapeake Cove in Deltaville where the engine will be reinstalled.
(The Cigarette shaped logos were on the boat when I bought it - not my fault!)

Sorry I haven't replied earlier Don. I haven't had a look at SOS in a few days.
The engine was shipped from Express Engines at the end of December. I'm not pressuring Chesapeake Cove at the moment to get the installation and testing done since the weather has been disagreeable to say the least.
Looking very much forward to getting it done soon though. Please stay in touch.
Pic of engine just prior to leaving Florida.
