anyone have any ideas, i hate to get rid of this set right now but my problem is, when i first cut it on after a min or 2 it will make a pop and cut off . I may have to cut it back on 1 or as many as 6 times by pushing the main power button on and off to get it back on , then it will stay on the rest of the time . It seams to be getting worse, is it worth fixing and if so what is the problem?

Sounds like main power supply. Not worth fixing. ANY plasma tv you buy will blow away what you have.
I would stay away from LCD tv's, they are still trying to catch up to plasma.

Get as big as you can afford. I am a huge fan of LG. Great pic and good bang for the buck. Most stores will steer you to Samsung, just don't go there.

I have a 42 Panasonic and a 42 Runco, both are about 4 years old, at the time I bought them I wanted 2 Runco's but the dealer only had 1 in stock so I got the panasonic for the bedroom, I think the price at the time the Panasonic was 1/3 the Runco and to this day I can't tell any difference in picture quality
    Run until it sounds expensive
