Sold my twin 502 32' fever and bought a 27' with a carb 500hp. too slow and looking into a M1 Procharger.
Anyone do this and was it worth the effort or should I upgrade the heads.
Mark
How about a picture of one with a carb, Ive only seen them on a EFI.

09-11-2010 10:06 PMdefinitely worth the effort. you'll get more from the blower than you will a set of heads. what does it have for exhaust?

She's got headers but I'm not sure what brand. Kind of wierd, the water jackets on the headers come out a nipple on the top and then thru a hose to the sides of the boat. Never seen this before, I'm used to the water mixing with the exhaust on exit.
But then again, I sell Harleys, not boats!

Sounds like you have "DRY" tail pipes. This is good. Means you can upgrade camshafts down the line, and reversion wont be an issue.
As for the procharger setup, i dont know much about them. I do know, that there has been alot of people who bolt a 250 B&M blower on a HP500, and make some good power. That blower with a intercooler would prob be 700hp. But, may not clear your hatch. You can pick these blowers up on the used market really cheap.

09-12-2010 02:30 PMthe procharger is sweet. I have an M1 on my boat and love it. Upgraded the ECM to a Mefi 4 this year and have it dialed in pretty good.
