finally pulled my chit box apart today Confirmed what I thought. But was not expecting this much carnage..

I now have a custom 2 piece crank Several twizzlers that once were connecting rods some new paper weights from SRP and enough metal im my pan to get a 2 dolla bill..

So looks like I may be getting bigger pistons better rods, stroke it out and hell why not a new cam.. Other than that all looks good.

Loosing and engine always sucks! Hows the block? any damage? When rebuilding an engine it always pays off to get the good stuff.

my whole thought is for the price to stroke it I could by a 502 short block put my ZZ502 heads, intake and all the other chit and go boating. The other part of me is thinking this will make winter more fun.

Block looks fine, bores are clean. I think it just needs a little machine work. As always won't know until I have it tanked and sonic checked. Either way I am going to keep this block as a project if I do decide to go the 502 route.

Ok so lets make this fun.
    What parts(combo) would you do.

I am going to keep the same heads(ZZ502 Aluminum)and the BG 830 carb.Everything else can be changed.

So lets hear it but lets not get crazy as I do have to keep some sort of budget

The short block is the easy way, I've seen too many remans,& short blocks that are thrown together and end up out of speck. I once purchased a brand new 454 long block, still had the tonawanda factory tag hanging on it. Pulled it down to balance and blue print and was amased at how far out of spec it was.
