    #1
I just Bought a 353 that is a Documented Vessel. Any thoughts on why I would keep it Documented? I really cant think of any ... I know there is the Sales Tax Story but I think that cant be avoided and I am just going to pay that an be done with it..... Also you have to Display a the Vessel's name and port of call ... Any thoughts? The Vessel was Documented in Missouri and I am in Florida ..... thanks ......mike

You dont have to put on the reg #'s on the bow so it looks nicer. Also I believe if your ever in distress, the info on your boat is already with the coast gaurd for a search and rescue if needed???? I kept the doc. with my boat from Va and I'm in Ct and boat in the ocean so It makes me feel a little safer if something should happen.

It makes it a lot easier if you want to boat over to the islands or ??????

Documented vessels have a history which can be followed. Never any issues with theft, possible leins, etc. Easily researched.
Getting bad advice is unfortunate, taking bad advice is a Serious matter!!
