I wouldn't mind giving one of these a shot. Looks like fun as long as there is wind and you know how to control it.

Fuel might do it for us. We weren't planning on it.

i figured you would have been heading down, I was going to pull the boat out and fill it as soon as gas went under 2.00. since it has been snowing almost two solid weeks that is not going to happen unless we have a major thaw.

It's finally above freezing here today. One solid week of below freezing temps, but no snow!

If you want a ride on a ice boat, it gets big up here in the spring after a thaw. The snow on the ice must melt and then freeze. Then it's time to rock.

... Winter Storm Warning in effect from 7 am this morning to 4 am
    EST Friday...

The National Weather Service in Gaylord has issued a Winter Storm
Warning for heavy snow... which is in effect from 7 am this morning
    to 4 am EST Friday.

Widespread snowfall will develop across northwest lower Michigan
this morning... and will continue through the evening. Precipitation
will then transition to lake effect snow showers within developing
west to northwest winds. Snow showers will then continue into
    Thursday night.

Total snowfall amounts from Wednesday morning through Friday
morning will range from one to two feet in some areas within the
warning area... primarily north of M-72.

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected. Significant amounts of snow will make
travel dangerous. If you must travel... use extreme caution
