I was digging around trying to find powerplay 28 picts. Do have the link where I found that pict? Ive looked all over trying to find it.

Does the PP 28 have a belly tank or side tanks?

Wow, thats nice, 150 gallons of belly tank capacity in a 28 is great-

How much does that eat into freeboard and cabin space though I wonder?

    any cabin/ Interior picts?

AHHH.. that reminds me, Back when I was trying to sell Nordics here those tanks were a big problem, the 35 Flame had 2 side and one floor and the 28 Heat had 2 side tanks, the east coast guys hated that and I was told so many times it was the dumbest thing they had ever seen. But that was 15yrs ago.

By the way, I love the 28 PP and there are just not enough of them out there.

I was on a center console that had a single yammie 250 about three weeks ago in Florida. Pretty sweet little powerplant. (We didnt catch ****)

    Thats why I ask.

I ask because Ive seen lots of crazy crap in stuff that passes as "offshore".
Its also a LOT easier to make a nice roomy cabin with tanks in the side, but in my mind - not an acceptable trade off.

I grew up in Chicago before I moved to Ca so Ive ridden and been in boats from both coasts.
I'm pretty neutral in my biases- I like great boats regardless of where they are born.

My pleasure 28 Pantera had a 120 in the belly and my race Pantera has two 75s in the belly under the cockpit floor and used to have another 80 up front as well. Going to put a water ballast tank up there now though.

It does eat into the freeboard a little I came out of a Velocity so it took a little time to get used to being that. but it is a great boat I almost bought a Pantera but I just couldn't work a deal out on one that ended up being repoed. Sorry for the interior pic its the only one I have it is all getting redone as we speak & should be reinstalled next week.

How is the gunwale storage built on the PP?

(the Lavey's is in the mold, vs built out of the inserted interior)

This is the first boat Ive had with molded gunwale storage all the others have been cloth interior based and my experience is that over time the interior based storage you end up with items in the inside of the hull

Is the PP an interlined boat?

The East coast boats bolted swim steps is a tradeoff between

    1. usability - the bolt on gives you a larger hatch surface to lay in the sun on, but being not being lower to the waterline makes it a less usefull step.

    2. looks- I personally like the look of the molded step better, but thats just a personal preference. This worked against me when putting steering on my smaller boat because I would have had to cut into the step to use an external system so I had to go with an ITS. - brutally expensive!

There is no storage in the gunwale but at least the front seats have storage in them

Can, or does PowerpPlay allow the exhaust to be routed under the step?

tradeoff here is having the exhaust above the steps intrudes one the versatility of using the step and pad somewhat (Id imagine) probably not as big a deal in the ocean, but as lake boat to sun and swim with, I'd imagine many would wish to route this differently.

    - but It looks killer!!

From my experience a better choice, but I'm curious as to the group view.

Is the AT's windscreen molded or bolted?

Here is a cockpit pic. Lots of storage underneath the seats in the cabin. None in the gunwale. I will dig up some more pics tonight. Mold work is perfect in the cockpit.
