What is the shortest twin engine V bottom boat you would consider putting SSM #6 on, I see 32 skaters with them but would they be to heavy for a 30' V bottom if you had room for trannies.

The smallest boat I remember seeing them on is a 10 Meter. My thoughts are they would not be of much use on anything smaller then a 35.
Then there is the price issue.

KC,
Why the heck you putting more money/power into that Velocity when you should be buying a cat that can handle the speeds!!?? You've seen for yourself that your 32 cant really run over 90 real well. Sell it and buy my Motion!!

Dan, I was wondering when you were going to chime in, I was so happy when your classified ran out so I wouldn't have to look at your Motion everyday...I see it's back again...All I'm doing is getting my engines ready for when I do cat out. They will come out easy enough, I'm just spending 18k more on 2.3 quad rotors and MOAC's and maybe buy a set of Imco scx's then sell my XR's with 10 hrs on them. Should push your Motion purdy good... I'm starting off with 850hp per side but can go up to 1100+ if that 850 doesn't work out. Just because they are in a 32 Velocity doesn't mean I have to go full throttle does it...or does it My boat will run better I think when it's @ 110 MPH My boat is still for sale but decided not to give it away...might as well enjoy it till the market comes back.

KC, lets find some 454 mags or 415/502s to put in the velocity. Keep your supercat motors. I have some B1s and cash to swap u for you XRs. THen sell your Velocity and find a new ride.

Your right Jim, I'm pretty well maxed out with power @ 1250 hp now and haven't used it all yet. I just found a decent deal on the whipples and though what the heck. If I found a cat I could just take my motors and put them in it. I guess I could go ahead and get the whipples and wait until I can find a cat hull then do it to it then....would save pulling them twice, That's prolly what I'll do. I feel better now. Heck I only have 10 hrs on my engines now.

V.V. I just bought some quad 3.3's. Eddie Young is putting together some 604's for me. I am going to put Mr. Gadgets XR's to the test on the 34 DCB. I know they are going to blow, but I hope I can get at least 1 season on them. SCX's are in the plan, but the motors are breaking the bank and then some! Post some pictures of your project. There are lots of quads for sell, the ballers are upgrading to the 8.3 Whipples. Eric

I spoke with Eddie your in good hands on your engines and the DCB's are sweet. I bought a 35' Ocean Express Cat hull but my engines are only 635 hp in the Velocity and I know I won't be happy with them in the cat so I'm going with some 1000-1100 hp in the Cat W/6's. Pulled all the nice rigging out of the Velocity and installing stock power in it some 502's 465hp Merc engines in it now. Sold my Imco boxes and xr's and installing Bravo ones back on the Velocity. Still have my 635HP Super Cat engines for sale and the Velocity will be for sale with new power to free up some cash to re rig the Cat. Here is my new project. The OE was a 33' cat. It was built to run in the unlimited open class in 1998 and had to be 35' so they streatched it 2' and reinforced the sponsons and a new transome for racing but never got rigged so as you can see I have a little work ahead of me. Should be a fun boat when we get done. VV

The ski race guys run sixes on little boats. Down to 21 feet with big turbo power.
