    Tim was PLANETMAN too......

Before the cats they had a twin engine 21 Shadow / Challenger and then a Sutphen V bottom.

    I remember the Yellow / colorful 30'
    A White & Red Conquest
    The Colorful Conquest
    Then a 46 Cougar V bottom
    Then the 35 Puma Cat
    Then the 46 Skater
    Now a big Outerlimits....

There was definitely a "Miss Maxon" 33' Sutphen from the early '80's.

The Sutphen is now in Texas and for sale if anyone is interested. Not mine but owned by a friend and sat at my shop for a while. 33' staggard set up with speedy #2's and Daytona crash boxes.

There was only one Maxon Conquest....and that wasn't actually a Conquest. It was a running plug for a twin step pleasure cat we built for Chris Craft with a deck slapped on for testing. After Chris Craft got out of the cat business, they gave it to Timmy and he repainted it.

All true Conquests were single step cats, made with completely different materials from that plug and the decks were part of a monocoque construction which were designed to dramatically increase the strength of the entire structure..

Kenny Adams built all the Conquests at his shop. A master builder and still is today. He deserves most of the Conquest credit, but never gets enough acknowlegment. George Linder designed them. Both up in years, but would be neat to see the brains behind Conquest colaborate on a new design.

I don't remember all of the colors, but all of the 37's were the same boat. That hull still sits at Kurt's Marine, basically intact. Pretty amazing for a hull we sold as a running plug made with exterior plywood....eh?

Later Timmy built a stretched 30 foor Chris Cat, with elongated pickle forks, but that is not the hull you are referring to.

I ask for some clarifiction please.

Maxon pic 1 (30ft Chris Craft) - have cutting stating raced in 1985.

Maxon pic 2 (37ft? Chris Craft?) - On film of Lee County 1985.

Maxon pic 3 (same boat as pic 2?) - 1985 or maybe 1984.

Maxon pic 4 (see part 2) (same boat as pic2?) - have cutting showing raced in Key West 1985.

Note pic 3 shows Chris Craft on side yet single step cat,a la Conquest?

    Maxon Cats part 2

Maxon pic (1987) - (39ft? chris craft modified by conquest?) - in cuttings as raced in 1986/87.

    Maxon (1989) - (35ft TGC? 2 X 800hp Maxon engines?) - on film in Sarasota race 1989.

Hoping all the question marks can be resolved.

-I can tell you the yellow boat was the first one...... it was dropped by the crane at the worlds in 84 or 85.

-The white 35 TGC is still around without the roof last raced in Factory 3 class as Planet Honda. I thin it is for sale at LCM or National Liquidators.

-The question is, The Blue White, Blue Orange Red, Red White, White Red are all the same boat?

Cant comment on the older boats but Tim has a very nice and fast 51 Outerlimits powered by 1550 sterlings.

    Yet another Maxon!

That boat Ryan looks like it maybe the Multi coloured 86/87 boat with an entended picklefork gobbed on.I can`t believe you would design a boat with that grotty snake of a shape of gunwale rubber up forward.
When Mr.Luhrs dials in,I`m sure he must know the answers to all these questions. He could count all the different Maxon boats instead of sheep when getting to sleep at night.
