Canopy is intact. Rick said they were making the turn about 80 and rolled. Lost an engine hatch bent exhaust. Engines are out of the boat and headed north to be pickled.

If it was rotating when it gulped water it is likely FUBAR.

Ok so I dont know much but what I do know is that you want to get the engine apart ASAP. You can save electrical and fuel systems most of the time but they have to be taken off and soaked in Jet A right away. There also parts inside of the motor that can be saved as well.

If you are tearing it apart you arent pickling it then! youre doing a tear down.

a through rinse in fresh water and properly dried has been proven to provide good results, in reclamtion of water damaged parts!

Navair 01-1A-509 give some good tips as well.

All the wiring needs to be change and new installed, once water gets in the wiring and drys it will eat the wiring from the inside out.

Money canīt make the clock stop....
Thatīs what Iīve learned in racing..and logistics is my profession..

But guess you think you know better.
Offshore Racing wasnīt designed to be a spectator sport, it's for people or companies with's lots of money to push the envelope of endurance technology and hopefully put a trophy on a mantle. It's man vs the elements, not like boats with like engines running in circles.
