Anybody know anything about the 28' in Texas that was for sale on OSO this past spring? I have talked to Daryl, the owner but just wanted some unbiased input. I need another project to keep me out of trouble for a while. Here is a pic of the boat.

I am fine with a project. I am tired of working on a boat that isn't what I want anyway, so it's gone. I was considering twin sbc, but most likely I would go single since I already have the motor for it. I figure I fit in better with you crazy Pantera guys that are always tearing chit apart just because so I might as well make the move.

Your letting me down! I thought you were the Pantera history guru. Apparently no-one knows much about the boat. Or at least won't discuss the history. I guess it had a job to do early in life.

I believe that's the boat. It has a re-issued HIN from TX that says it's 81'. I guess it was a DEA seizure.

Well, I drove down to take a look at this one and iy was a huge waste of time. The boat is rotten and water logged. There is a foot of water standing under the floor from the front of the cuddy all the way to the back of the cockpit, an honestly, I wouldn't tow the trailer down the street. I guess I am still looking

Wow, that sucks. Doesn't matter how well they're built if they're not taken care of!

It was about 10 plus hours from my house. Not taken care of is putting it mildly. This boat needs to go to the shredder and I am all for resurrecting old boats. The supposedly good drives and tabs were junk as well and the transom has been hacked and rerigged so many times I am suprised the drives haven't fell of in his driveway. Oh well, I did find a nice clean old 27 excalibur I might pick up.

Did you get any pics? I guess you never got that 27 Activator in DE last year. Is the Excalibur the one in MD?

I think my buddy snapped a couple but they are on his camera. I was to busy getting p!ssed off to take pics and it was dark when we got there.
I am still not to sure about the excalibur.I am not sure I want a 7' beam boat and I have had enough of ducking under the dash to get to the beer cooler. The one I looked at is not in MD and it's not listed anywhere yet.
