What is the baddest single 28 ever built?
    #1
Has to still be floating. Not neccessarily the fastest but obviously that has ALOT to do with it.

I am looking for ideas for my update and I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread about the baddest 28 single so I could get some ideas.

Also, the Pantera section is dead right now.......we need to breathe some life into it!!

DERANGED was 28ft MAGNUM rerigged in2000 with a sealed hp 500 on a stellings box with imco sc drive,, ran the 2001 APBA season.. I wanted to run f-1 but was told i was making a wrong decission so they (john) put me in p-5,, i said i don.t think you want me there,, he insisted he new what he was doing! so goes history won 7 races out of 9 ,, f-1 started about 30 or 40 seconds before p-4 and 5 i usually passed all the f-1s and ran up to the p-3 and 2s so a 1968 Magnum became the 2001 national champion.

Albert's Mig 28 comes to mind. I think he was close to 1000hp and ran into the triple digits a couple of times. I know "detuned" it was 850hp and ran 95mph!

I've been in the Mig 28... 95 across Biscayne Bay with a handful of throttle left... No question in my mind.

I've never seen Brian Stubbefields boat run, but if the stories are true, that boat would be a strong contender for #2.

I'm personally partial to Tomas' boat though. And obviously Adam, you're boat is a bad MoFo, as well. But depends on if we're just going on looks or performance. Yours is my favorite on looks.

Wow, I'm in almost exact agreement with Sean.
Adam, yours is the baddest looking one out there - just looks sinister.
From everything I've read about the Mig, and the firsthand reports, I'm thinking she was/is one badazz machine.
The pictures of Tomas launching in the snow - that's just freaking priceless.

Pics please and where is she now? How did you avoid breaking out if you were running with the P3 boats? Different rules than now?

George did you notice you are posting Magnum info in a Pantera section?

It was nice back when when it was offshore and not just drag races.

does anyone know what kind of setup the Mig was running?

Also interested in Brian's setup on the one with the yellow interior.

I have been talking to Airpacker and we have a setup in mind. I would kind of like to unseat the king........if possible....

    I don't have a problem with it!
    I love the old Mag's.
It also seems most the Pantera/Mag guys have a strong appreciation of both lines.
    Both just gorgeous boats.
