I just received a dual Mercruiser Thunderbolt IV ignition system that apparently came from a Navy Seal boat.
I probably won't use it in this form, but bought it as a source for components for my "88 Donzi 22C Testa Rossa project boat.
The markings on the two modules say 5G14A V8-HP.
Anyone know what the advance on it is?
Also, does anyone know what the little round thingie is in the third picture?

06-05-2010 12:12 AMAs I recall V8 modules are 24 degree maybe some are 22. V6's are 18 . I don't recognize the other markings you mentioned. I can research tomorrow if no one else chimes in.
