need advice on best way to go about this repair. Grind out and use West epoxy with filler or should I just use 3M marine filler then gel. From what I understand this is common spot on Cigarette Bullets. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

Forgot pics. By the way, these cracks are by the forward vents at the front of the sunpad/benchseat back.

Hey guy , from the looks of that you will have to grind and glass both sides of the crack / topside and under side giving that area some much added Beef along with more grinding and some body work ,filling , sanding , re jell or painting . Might i add if you just fill this with a filler you will only be making matters worse .Your Call

Better fix it right. Putty on the outside will just crack thru quickly again. It will wreck the finish too. Jamie / Lakeside

Holy smoke! What kind of boat is that? Looks like a log fell on it or something.

08-31-2009 10:36 AMThat's a "fracture" and all the other little ones around it are "stress cracks".
I'd do as Artie suggested!

The back side of that needs More glass and so does the front before any putty goes on. You have to get the integrity back into the area before any finsh will stand a chance.

Yeah it found it's way to that square corner, Artie is 100% right it needs repaired from both sides and feather the repair out to avoid a "Hard spot" watch your material :Example a 0-90 18 Oz fabric going around a corner gives 9 oz only Effective while the +- 45 17 Oz would be a better choice.
