Guys,
I was lucky enough to be involved with a pretty cool project two summers ago. The owner of Island Runner the 41ft Apache has owned the boat for decades, he also has an 18ft Donzi that literally was rarely used for 20 years. Two years ago, he dusted off the Donzi and started using it, on the third ride we blew up the motor.
After that he was going to simply drop a new motor in the boat and be done with it, instead I put together a photo shop of how cool the "Island Runner II" would look. That got the project to become a reality. For the next month, we sourced a new motor (383 Stroker), painted the hull, redid the interior, and created a pretty cool little boat to run around NJ in.
Here are a few photos of the project, who will be the next Apache owner to create a "mini-me"!

Very Cool Erik! I am glad to know that I am not the only mental case to come up with an idea like this. I have often thought it would be cool to do mini versions of the INXS 47 Apache, Kid Apache and Little Caesars. A little Warpath would be cool too. Uh Oh! I feel more projects coming on...
How is Big Island Runner doing these days? Have any cool Pics or Videos of it running recently?

11-22-2013 10:03 AMNice. DO you have the original of the one in the middle? With some tweaking it could be a poster I think.
