    The greatest band to ever come out of Canada was mentioned, of course Rush. Another o.k Canadian band Bachman Turner Overdrive, BTO has a few good tunes.

    April Wine is another decent classic rock band from Canada. Like Chilliwack.

    Our radio/tv/other media by law must have a certain amount of Canadian content. Remind us we are not Americans!

    So the rock stations tend to overplay Rush and BTO. We had some good artists and theory that if we didn't have content laws protecting our market, more Canadians would have made it in the USA. Went to school with next examples kids. He even did a gig at our high school:

    Actually Bryan Adams gave Glass Tiger and a few others a start, He made it big in 81 with cuts Like A Knife.

    I was only 10 or 11 in those days. I know they shared managers, same guy behind the scenes with BTO or maybe confusing Glass Tiger with Loverboy.
