That's a sweet Chris Cat, love it
Stupid question, did that boat end up over the pod? Like Finland?
Stupid question #2, did Chris Craft build these race boats to or did
they use any other builder for the pure race boats?
Let the pictures come!!
Thanks

12-02-2008 10:26 AMwas that the hull with the 2 speed tans? Didnt they make the Kurt rule to keep people from running them b/c it was so good? Say what you will, but Burger knows his stuff old school knowledge. type of smarts that he could quit a few years then come back and murder people on the ocean.

That boat was built to take anything, and I mean anything, that was thrown at it and keep going. Kurt designed everything on that boat. He even fixed the outdrives so that there were no hydraulics to break. We called it the lead sled. With Kurt on the sticks we were unbeatable in rough water. I'm looking for more pictures. My mother just sent me those, and she said she has a ton more.

I am going to try to post the video from the 1984 Pt. Pleasant race. It may take me a few days. Great footage of us racing with what-a-package. I have pretty much every race from 1983-1986 from Needle Nose. I'll look for some highlights. Don't want to step on Phil or Rich, just want to show off their great work.

As long as there was snow on the ground I figured I would go through some old pix. I found a bunch and will be posting them. I was also trying to get my vhs tapes onto computer to post some great footage with Phil's permission. I was just watching the 1985 Northport 200. Great interview with Sam James, Jack Stuteville and Roger Munn. If anyone knows how to get vhs onto computer, HELP!!!!!!!!
