Dennis and Jason Parvey ran a 161-mph pass on Sunday!!

Once again win their class, and also tie for the V Bottom Top Gun with a fully canopied spec boat.

    Congrats all over again!!!!!

    I agree.

It is also very interesting that it tied the carbon 51 OL with it's light layup and it's custom 3 speed transmissions.....

Something about the fact that they are technology driven but using an older platform is cool and makes it relatable to the guy with the factory boat who repowers or upgrades to push the envelope of what can be done with what you've got. The fact that they have stuck with that platform, and that it is based on a production boat that families use to cruise, and that it is a huge pig of a boat (in a good way).... is too cool for words. His name is not coolerman because he chills things. It's because he is literally cooler than us.

I think in some ways, these guys hold the grail of what a lot of smaller shops and guys do in their own ways, and why they do it. I think they are currently the moral authority of marine performance. If that makes any sense. No hype. No nonsense. All proof of performance. They are they guy at the race track with a luxury model Cadillac who blows the doors of of everything that comes that day, including the top fuel cars.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, and especially Fund Razor for your statement. Definitely a labor of love. We kind of use the "get a bigger hammer" approach, but there definitely has been some unique engine tuning and power adding technology that we have used. I think people are just starting to figure out what they can do with this ethanol stuff. The barrel ethanol is capable of much much more than anyone really first anticipated.

For what it's worth, we had 28lbs of boost and a 350 shot for the 161 run, lol. The 161 run had an ET of about 25secs. The next run we hit it much harder off the line but only turned 156 thanks to a shredded blower belt. For what it's worth, the 156 run had an et of 24secs. The boat is still accelerating at roughly 4mph/sec at 160.

My main question; Are you stopping because the run, even at 3/4 of a mile, is still putting up speeds that are too fast for the course conditions?

The course is great. I think there is no question the boat would run a solid 170 or more in 3/4 mile without a lot of work. There is still room to take the motors a step further as well, but then at what point do the drive and trans let go?

That being said, there is an old saying that goes, "Things feel great until they don't."

Maybe you should forget the shootout and go get the fastest Vee Bottom kilo record?

It's only 181, and the runup to speed is an unlimited distance.......
