I saw Judas Priest the night that the first gulf war broke out in 1991. Rob Halford stopped the show and announced that the US and allies were on the ground in Iraq and wished them the best of luck and dedicated "All Guns Blazing" to them. Very cool. My cousin was in the 82nd Airborne at the time, and had already been in Iraq for two days before the media thought the war started.

Heh, I was in a band with JJ Brown, he went on to become the bass player for "Fight".
I guess Rob took a "liking" to him.
Yep, get to work on the boat.
I've got rain here today, so not gonna get much done on the boat.
Spent 5 hours cleaning my truck yesterday, of course it will rain today...
Definately beers later today."Keep the bottle on the bar Ira, I won't be long".

I think that JJ was living in Phoenix for a while. I think that they may have recorded there. It was when I had the studio open, and some of those guys were in a couple different bands and travelling back and forth.
That was around the time that Scott Shriner ended up in Weezer.
I am surprised that you and I were never in the same band. Seems like a couple of near misses.Warning: This post may contain language unsuitable for minors or math not suitable for liberal-arts majors.
